The Coopers Edge School Parent Community Group was formed with the aim of submitting a proposal to run the new school that genuinely reflected the requirements of the local community. In submitting a joint proposal with The Robinswood Trust we were also able to offer the very best outcomes in terms of education for Coopers Edge and the surrounding area.

From January 2010 we will begin the implementation of our proposals, creating a school for the Coopers Edge Community, run by the Community, where all children matter, are happy, have equal opportunities and where everyone can feel involved.

We believe that:

• All children have the right to the best start in life
• A school should be a facility at the heart of the community which is open to everyone
• Enjoyment and education excellence go hand in hand
• A school should prepare children for whatever path in life they choose
• Our school should support learning at every life stage
• A well balanced education will enable everyone to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially
