Coopers Edge is a brand new community being built on the site of the old Brockworth Airfield on the outskirts of Gloucester. The development will eventually consist of over 2000 houses. As a Section 106 condition of the development the local authority received contributions from the developers to fund the building of the school.

The school is due to open in September 2011, the number of places initially offered at the school will be in line with demand from the development, and will increase to a total capacity of 420 pupils (two form entry) over time.
